Unica Group launches campaign to promote its seedless watermelons

Spain's Unica Group has hired Aitor Sánchez, nutritionist and author of the popular blog Mi Dieta Cojea (loosely translated as "There is something wrong with my diet"), to promote its Freshquita seedless watermelon. The expert will star in a TV commercial that will be broadcast from May 5. "The summer calls for watermelon, and if it's Freshquita, all the better," says the campaign's slogan.

"A watermelon has a lot more to offer than it seems," says Aitor. "One piece counts for 20 servings of fruit. It is a super healthy snack for the whole family and also ideal against the heat."

The 20-second commercial will be shown in prime time and during highly-viewed programs, including Telecinco's newscast.

A video will also be featured on social media and a competition will be organized to promote the consumption of Freshquita. Aitor Sánchez, a regular partner of UNICA, will also encourage watermelon consumption through his Instagram account @MiDietaCojea.
