The only onions that currently have a good market and are in demand are spring onions, which are sold in bunches. They are bought for about 1,000 Euro per hanegada, which is enough to cover the production costs and even make some small profits.
The ones that have grown the most can only be harvested a little later, and there is no price for them yet, even though they are sold in stores for 1.25-1.50 Euro per kilo, because they were already imported with expensive costs. Severe contradictions. And on top of that, the rains have caused mildew to spread.
