Qatar scraps 5% customs duty on all food products until September 15

On March 15, 2020, the Qatar Crisis Management Committee within the Ministry of Health (MoPH) implemented an incentive package to mitigate the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the country's economic and financial sectors. As part of this package, the Ministry has exempted all food and medical products from the country's five percent customs duty for a period of six months. This exemption should be applied to the final sale price offered to the consumer.
