Live broadcast set for March 19th

Mexican Table Grape Association postpones annual summit

The Mexican Table Grape Association has decided to postpone their
annual spring summit, which was set to take place on March 19th, in Tubac, Arizona. The Association’s General Director, Juan Gomez, released the following statement:

“During these days, we have been analyzing the situation that surrounds us around COVID‐19. Our priority is to maintain safety, health, and reduce the risk of any type of effects for our attendees, growers, chain stores, staff and sponsors.”

“For this reason, The Asociacion Agricola Local de Productores de Uva de Mesa (AALPUM) regrets to announce that its annual Sonora Spring Summit, scheduled for March 19 in Tubac, Arizona, has been postponed. After much consultation with authorities and industry partners, AALPUM feels the duty and the responsibility to take this action.”

“To all those who are already registered we want to communicate that your ticket is going to be transferred for the new date of the event. Even so, if you prefer to receive a refund it can also be done. To our sponsors, we want to thank you for your valuable support as always, and want to inform you that in the same way, your sponsorship is valid for the new date of the event.”

“To our guest speakers, thank you for your willingness to be present. To the Tubac Golf Resort & Spa, we thank you for your attention and support during this situation, by facilitating the cancellation of hotel reservations already made.”

“The primary purpose of the summit is to provide timely information to all stakeholders to promote the orderly marketing of the upcoming grape crop. That need for information still exist. The event management team is currently working to have a Live broadcast, on our official YouTube page Mexico Table Grapes, so that the crop estimate and other presentations can be shared by all. This digital event will take place on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at 12:00 pm.”

“Again, thanks for your understanding,” he concludes.
