"This type of trays requires particular attention and delicacy in the handling phases, due to the presence of the attached lid. The system is our answer to the ever-growing demand for packs that are easy to open and close, and it can be easily used for trays without lid as well," says the company.

RL40 can fill clamshell trays quickly and accurately with food and salads, ready to eat and not. The line is modular and is made up of various elements. Furthermore, it can be equipped with optional devices, such as the destacker for empty trays and the double lid-closing unit.
It can be easily integrated with any upstream weighing system and with any downstream packaging or labeling system. "In addition to clamshell-like packaging, RL 40 can also fill simple trays, which are shipped to flow pack wrappers or heat sealers. The modular length of this solution highlights the great versatility of the system."

"The product received by the weigher is unloaded through a double unit into the trays, then transferred from the filling station to the pressing station and from there transferred to the closing or packaging and labeling stations - says the Bologna-based company. The system guarantees a smooth and immediate cycle, thanks to the use of two translating hoppers, which ensure the speed of the process phases with continuous movement".
