Ribercamp

New second-degree cooperative created in the Spanish region of Valencia

On Wednesday, March 4, the Assemblies of the Sant Bernat Cooperative, of Carlet, and of the Guadacoop Cooperative, of Guadassuar, were held simultaneously. They approved the integration of the Fruit and Vegetable Producers' Organizations of the two cooperatives (with the support of almost all of their members, which amount to 4,400 and 2,034, respectively) and greenlighted the creation of a second-degree cooperative, which will be called Ribercamp.

With this move, the two cooperatives, which in turn are integrated as partners in Anecoop, will bring the productions of their members together, with a fruit volume totaling about 85,000 tons, consisting mostly of citrus fruits, kakis and stone fruit, and with growth prospects in the coming years.

The handling centers that they currently have will be optimized for improvements in the processes and their management.
