Several events of the food industry have been postponed in France due to the Coronavirus. CFIA Rennes, initially planned for March 10-12th, has been postponed to May 26th-28th, 2020. M.A.D.E. Paris announced that its 2020 edition, initially planned for March 17th&18th, has been postponed to May 13th&14th, 2020.
Since 1997, CFIA has been a business platform for all actors of the leading industrial sector in France. CFIA gathers more than 22,000 professionals and 1,600 companies.
Sébastien Gillet, director of CFIA Rennes:
“As a precaution given the local health situation, postponing the 2020 edition of CFIA Rennes seems like the most reasonable decision. The health of our 1,600 exhibitors, of the companies, our partners and the public is our only priority. Our will to make this 24th edition an exceptional success is intact.
M.A.D.E. is the annual event for food creation.
Julie Voyer, director of M.A.D.E.:
“As a precaution, postponing our first food event of the year seems to be the most reasonable decision. The health of our 400 exhibitors, of our partners, the businesses and the public is our only priority. It is a difficult decision to make but the conditions are not met today for this event to take place safely. We are convinced that our community will be there on May 13th &14th, 2020, to make this 4th edition a great success.”
