Rene Bouman, FMI International:

"Too much supply and moderate quality results in a difficult market for limes"

Lime trading has been very difficult in recent weeks. "There is too much supply and moderate quality on the market, mainly caused by the rain in Brazil," says Rene Bouman of FMI International.

He also does not expect the market to recover in the short term.
"At the moment there is still too much stock at the importers and the volumes from Brazil and Mexico are not decreasing yet. To get the situation back to normal, it is necessary that the loads from Brazil and Mexico drastically needs to die down."
