In China currently, a lot of fruit and vegetable markets are picking up production and sales. With some workers still in their hometowns, the production has not fully recovered, but with the available staff the first sales are now being made.
Jessica Li from Easiland Commercial Co., Ltd. participated in Fruit Logistica last month and brought some new products with her to showcase at the exhibition: “In China and elsewhere, consumers are becoming more focused on convenience. As we are producing a lot of different fruits and vegetables in our fields, we decided to invest in a new product: instant vegetable soups.”

In order to attract different clients, they developed different flavors for the soup. “For now the most popular vegetable flavors are spinach, tomato, corn and laver egg. This product is already quite common in the Chinese market, though in other Asian and European countries this is not that far developed yet, so we hope to grow further in these markets. For now, our vegetable soups are doing well in South East Asian countries like Thailand and Vietnam. The demand is increasing.”
The most important thing is that the product is easy to use and consume. As Jessica Li explains: “It is very easy, we prepare all the ingredients in the cup, the consumer only needs to add hot water. It is very convenient and easy to take when you are at work or want to get some food quickly. Furthermore, we produce all the vegetables on our own land, to ensure and control the quality.”
Besides these soups, Easiland Commercial Co., Ltd. also sells other fresh products, such as garlic, carrots and cabbage. “We already export worldwide and thus also have all the right certifications,” Jessica concluded.
