The Peruvian Association of Mango Exporters (APEM) reported that Peru exported 187,551 tons of mango from the beginning of the 2019/2020 campaign until the end of week 8 (February 23), i.e. 35 % more than the 138,884 tons it shipped in the same period of the previous campaign (2018/2019).
According to the APEM, in the analyzed period of the current campaign, the main target market for Peru's fresh mango was Europe, which acquired 100,022 tons, i.e. 53.3% of the total volume.
Other destinations were the United States, which purchased 70,024 tons of fresh Peruvian mango, Canada with 7,061 tons, and other markets with 10,444 tons.
According to the APEM, the country dispatched 25,246 tons of frozen mango up to week 8 of this campaign, which is 15.6% more than the 21,827 tons the country shipped in the previous campaign.
