After gaining insights into the potentials of cape gooseberries in the market, we started to grow this fruit in Yunnan. The climate here is very good, so the fruit grows very well. In addition, thanks to Yunnan's unique geographical location, our crops become available earlier than those from northeast China, which has given us an advantage in sales. " 
Although cape gooseberries are also grown in Northeast China, Mr. Zhang says that they are not facing fierce competition in the market. “The mild competition and smooth sales are mainly due to the limited production. Our growing center covers 200 mu. Our new production season starts in May when the fresh crops become available. Our product is sold at about 10-15 yuan per half a kilo. Currently, the largest markets we sell to are Guangzhou, Jiaxing, and Hangzhou. As the new season looks promising, we expect to harvest about 1,000 or 1,500 kilos. "
