10,000 tons of mangos from Peru cannot be exported to China

Due to the Corona outbreak in China, avocado producers from Casma, in the Ancash region of Peru, are very concerned about the disruption of mango and avocado export. Rafael Santolalla Coral, president of Casma Farmers Association said the breakout in China has affected about 10,000 tons of mango exports.

"Last year we exported about 10,000 tons, by air and sea. But now everything is in a paralyzed state. We are waiting for the situation to improve so that we can export the same volume in 2020." It is estimated that producers from Casma will export 30,000 tons of mangos to Europe this year.
