Two Swedish wholesalers merge

Two Swedish fruit and vegetable wholesalers, Grönsakshandlarna and Lunnatorp, will continue as one. Both of these companies are located in the city of Karlskrona in southern Sweden. They will now be known as Grönsaksgrossisten Sydost. The two companies have been working together for a long time.

Daniel Bohm of Lunnatorp says: "We already have many mutual clients. This actually leads to more transport trips than necessary. From now on, our products will be transported together. That is beneficial for not only the environment. It will also reduce costs in the long run."

Bohm began at Lunnatorp, a family business, in 2006. Andreas Hamn started off as a holiday worker there in 2001. "I was immediately captivated by the dynamic work with its high speed, rapid deliveries," says Hamn.

Daniel Bohm worked at Lunnatorp for a few years before he tried his hand at something completely different - welding. "But I realized fruit and vegetables are my passion," he says. "I then made contact with a new wholesaler in the industry - Grönsakshandlarna. They offer me a job, and I later took over as owner."

Bohm and Hamn hope this merger will lead to an even better company. They want improved purchasing, stock control, logistics, and quality. The new Grönsaksgrossisten Sydost will eventually be housed in a new building in Karlskrona.

"We, however, also have plans to expand our vision further," concludes Andreas.
