We are very happy to inform you that Gerda Van Damme has joined our team as Strategic Sales Director EMEA.
Gerda is well known in the fruit processing industry on a global basis with focus on tropical fruit juices, purees, concentrates and other derived products such as ingredients, IQF, dried powders and flakes.
As an Academic Engineer in Biosciences, Food science and Nutrition, Gerda developed the Red Star Specialty Products flavor business in Europe for Universal Foods/Sensient. With Chiquita she provided sustainable and profitable growth for the Processed Fruit Ingredients. After the transition to Switzerland and the acquisition by Cutrale Gerda joined Alcatrading and created the market for Banalight, Tropilight and Frutilight for a range of tropical fruit purees, juices and IQF. After 10 years it was time to help AgroAmerica with their new venture of banana puree.
But the best is yet to come……
Within FRUTCO, Gerda will drive our Sustainable & Purpose driven business strategy for the tropical fruit ingredients.
