Price of shatang mandarins in China falls while shipment increases

Recently, the market price of shatang mandarins in production areas has declined slightly. Fruit grown under protective covers are mostly sold at 1.3-1.5 yuan/half a kilo, while the price of those unprotected ranges from 0.3-0.8 yuan/half a kilo, with the majority at 0.5-0.8 yuan. Some orchards not protected by the covers suffered from frosts, and when combining continuous rainfall, many trees suffered from serious fruit fall. Some agents reported that traders only considered orchards protected by covers, while those without protective films are facing difficult sales.

In recent days, various regions have resumed production in an orderly manner, and vehicles in and out of production areas have been running smoothly. However, an agent in Guilin said that due to multiple factors, transportation costs have risen significantly.

Compared with shatang mandarins, the market price of orahs is more stable. The price of good supplies from Wuming is more than 3.5 yuan/half a kilo, while part of the premium products can be sold for more than 4 yuan/half a kilo. The price for good quality supplies in Liuzhou, Hezhou, Laibin, and other places is also at 2.7-3.5 yuan/half a kilo, and shipments are made continuously.
