"We are expecting ginger supply shortages in coming weeks"

Gerry Li of Rida Trade made the following statement regarding the company's operations in China: "Due to the Chinese New Year holiday and the sudden coronavirus, the market that had been in short supply in the new season has become tighter and prices have risen rapidly. It is expected to reach the highest price within a few weeks. We receive 20 containers of ginger per week at our warehouse in Poeldijk and we still can not meet the huge demand. This is expected to cause supply shortages due to strong demand after two weeks."

"The coronavirus has little effect on the ginger factory in China. As Shandong is far away from Wuhan, the factory has been actively and effectively controlling the factory after two weeks of New Year holidays and isolation observation. At work, factories and logistics companies all work under strict disinfection and anti-epidemic standards to ensure the orderly operation of the factory and high-quality delivery of products."

"The coronavirus 2019-nCoV, a new under-understood disease, is bound to cause panic, rumors, and discrimination. Unfortunately, when people are tired of fighting disease and suffering, they also need to face discrimination and ridicule. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, we have followed Chinese news every day, often in tears because of heartaches and emotions, for those innocent lives that have passed away, and for medical workers who have given up their families into battle. . . Although we are far from China, we feel the same. Over the past week, many friends and customers have shown their care for us by phone and email, and we care about the situation in China. We are sincerely grateful. As a part of society, we also make contributions to society. Last week, more than 20 employees of our company participated in the donation ceremony of "Supporting China's fight against the coronavirus." Rida Trade donated a total of 20,000 Euros to the China Charity Foundation to make its own efforts to fight the coronavirus."

"Defeating the virus, we are full of confidence in China. There are always a few battles in life to fight, there will always be some difficulties to be overcome in fate, we are not afraid!"
