An easy-to-use calibration, that minimizes, if not completely eliminates, maintenance, while keeping all the required precision and efficiency. This is the goal that Bulltec aims to obtain every time it builds a new machine. And, in this case, the innovation concerns the processing of courgettes. Recently, a plant has been equipped according to the customer's needs.
"The farm Floriddia Giacomo di Rosolini decided to make an investment in new technologies - explained Ruggero Ricci of Bulltec - and turned to us to implement its line of electronic calibration of courgettes. The plant features several technical solutions. First of all, an electronic sizing machine where the product slides on a belt conveyor, instead of the classic bucket conveyor; after being classified by the inspection system, it is then ejected through a series of "ultra soft" paddles, which do not damage the vegetable in any way."
The plant, which consists of a dual-channel electronic sizing machine, guarantees an average production of 3.5 tons per hour. It has been operating for several weeks so far and, thanks to its simple technology, the customer has always been able to work without hindrance.
"What distinguishes our production lines - added Ricci - is simplicity and reliability. The belts are an excellent solution, including for other processing operations (see Freshplaza of 01/11/2019) and the paddles are shaped and moved in such a way to ensure the maximum integrity of the vegetable."
The Bulltec series can be tailored to the customer's specifications. "This applies to the small manufacturer who wants a processing line in their own warehouse - concluded Ricci - as well as to large-scale suppliers and distributors who need a bigger plant with different processing lines."
