To help medical staff treating coronavirus get more nutrition

Pagoda and Zespri jointly donated kiwifruit

On February 1st, Pagoda and Zespri jointly donated three trucks of kiwifruit to the medical teams of three hospitals designated for treating the novel coronavirus. These were delivered directly to the medical staff from Pagoda’s warehouse in Wuhan in the afternoon.

One truck-full of Zespri kiwifruit was delivered to Wuhan Fourth Hospital

This is yet another charitable activity Pagoda has implemented since the Chinese New Year’s Eve, and comes on top of a donation of 100,000 pairs of medical masks and an additional 1 million yuan to Wuhan, and a charity initiative jointly held with Meituan.

The three recipient hospitals are Wuhan University People's Hospital, Hubei Provincial Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, and Wuhan Fourth Hospital. Pagoda said that the fruit were directly delivered to the hospitals, so as to reduce loss in transit, ensure quality and freshness, and to provide the medical staff with extra nutrition as soon as possible.

The person in charge at Zespri expressed the hope that this donation will cheer up the medical staff working at the forefront and provide them with extra nutrition.
