Thai government: no Chinese produce is to enter Thailand

Thai media reported on January 29 that Mr. Prompow, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand, made a public statement, saying that due to the recent outbreak of the coronavirus epidemic in Wuhan, China, many Thai people have started to panic and are afraid to buy fruit and vegetables in the market, worried that they may be imported from China.

In this regard, Prompow stated that the public does not need to worry. At present, all sea, land, and air borders of Thailand refuse Chinese produce entry to Thailand, and China has now shut down the city of Wuhan, so there are no fruit and vegetables exported to Thailand.
