Tasmanian cherries in golden packaging

The Dutch company, Wilko Fruit, has started with its import of cherries from Tasmania. "We are importers of the Regina and Georgia varieties. They are available in 32 mm+ sizes", says Alejandro van der Zwaard, Wilko Fruit's 'cherry man'. These cherries are flown in twice a week.

The cherries are available in golden bonbon packs. "These contain 2kg of nice, dark cherries. These cherries are, in turn, contained in a golden box. These are packaged in CA packaging with a zipper. This is good for their shelf life," concludes Alejandro.
