Partners focus on reducing transport-related CO₂ emissions

Swiss Logistics Award for Krumme Kerzers and Lidl

Krummen Kerzers AG received the Swiss Logistics Award for its pilot project "Goodbye Diesel - Hello LNG" together with Lidl Switzerland. The aim is to reduce transport-related CO₂ emissions. The renowned Swiss Logistics Award honours new and particularly future-oriented logistics solutions.

"We are very pleased about the renewed confirmation of our work. We are proving that a sustainable corporate strategy and economic success can go hand in hand," said Peter Krummen, Managing Director of Krummen Kerzers AG, at the award ceremony in Schönenwerd on 27 November.

In April of this year, they already received the Hanse Globe Award for their joint project. With the initiative "Goodbye Diesel - Hello LNG", which wants to build an LNG bridge to the future, Krumme Kerzers and Lidl Switzerland have put into operation the first filling stations for LNG in the country. In addition, they are working intensively with authorities, research and industry to find a solution for using the infrastructure with liquid biogas in the future.
