Syria sends 1500 tons of citrus to Crimea

The Syrian Ministry of Transport announced that a ship loaded with more than 1500 tons has set sail to the Russian Republic of Crimea. “The first batch of 1539 tons (distributed over 57 containers of 27 tons each) will be loaded with more than 85 percent of its capacity with the citrus crop, specifically the Maori orange, in addition to approximately The 10 percent of the pomegranate crop. ”

This shipment, intended for the port of Kerch, will be discharged into the markets of the Republic of Crimea and the Federal Republic of Russia, as it will be transported to the latter via refrigerated trucks designated for this purpose.

On September 22, the Syrian government, represented by the Syrian Commission for Domestic Production and Exports, signed an agreement with the Republic of Crimea to export 100,000 tons of Syrian citrus.
