"Nature's favourites - little treasures" in the discount store

Aldi Süd introduces premium brand for fruit and vegetables

Select varieties and a particularly delicious taste: these and other features distinguish the products of new ALDI SÜD private label "Nature's favourites - little treasures". Starting in February, the discounter will successively introduce selected fruit and vegetable varieties in all of its approximately 1920 stores, thereby further expanding its fresh produce range.

Mandarins, oranges, lemons, strawberries, grapes, mangos, avocados, papayas and cocktail tomatoes of premium quality: With these products ALDI SÜD will start the sale of its new private label ""Nature's favourites - little treasures". The products differ, for example, in size, colour, variety and taste from conventional goods and are offered at the usual ALDI price. "We are pleased to expand our range of fresh products with the brand 'Nature's favourites - little treasures', offering our customers special, high-quality fruit and vegetable products," says Christian Baur, Purchasing Director at ALDI SÜD. More articles will follow in the course of the year.

Exclusive cooperation with producers
ALDI SÜD has entered into exclusive, long-term cultivation contracts with selected growers for the new private label for fruit and vegetables. In order to guarantee premium quality, strict standards and specifications are observed during cultivation and production, which are thoroughly checked by both suppliers and the group of companies.

Sustainable packaging
The products of the new ALDI SÜD private label "'Nature's favourites - little treasures" are sold largely unpackaged. For some products, packaging cannot be completely dispensed with, so sustainable solutions -made of paper or FSC-certified wood- are being used. In this way, the discounter continues to pursue the ambitious goals of the ALDI SÜD packaging mission.
