"2019 was a positive year in terms of both quantities and value and demand was good for the organic produce as well. We are currently processing lemons from Syracuse and Basilicata and will start with Sorrento lemons towards the end of the month," reports Ferdinando Vinaccia from La Costiera.
"Production was not abundant, as the weather in spring affected the first blossoming. We are hopeful for the second and third blossoming though, as we expect quantities to be larger. The Verdello campaign has not started yet, but things are looking good."
"The first blossoming of Sorrento has not been abundant but, if there is no frost or excessively low temperatures, the second blossoming is expected to be abundant. This in turn means the summer campaign should be good when it comes to produce and value. We are hoping that the weather does not compromise production."
“Lemons are doing well with good sales and lively demand. Quality has increased over the last period in order to meet demand."
"In 2020 we are looking to extend the processing warehouse and we will also take part in Marca (Bologna) for the first time, where we will present our lemons in Hall 2.2, Stand D07."
