Following the combination weigher MD14 XL, Manter releases the new MD10 XL. Especially for packhouses where a high capacity is required on a small footprint. Herman Wehkamp, director Manter: “The weigher is eminently suitable for large products.”
Small footprint and still a high capacity
For many years, Manter has been successful with the MD-series weighers, equipped with two rows of weighing buckets opposite to each other. By integrating wide vibrating lanes and smart software, this weigher reaches a speed of 16 bags per minute at 25 kg. Further more the MD10 XL requires a minimal floor area because of the narrow width of 1,65 meter.
Ideal combination with one packaging machine
Combined with a semi- or fully automatic packaging machine, such as the Manter Semipack or Autopack, the MD10 XL is the ideal solution for a potato- or onion packer. The MD14 XL easily keeps up with two packaging machines, the MD10 XL has been developed to keep up with one packaging machine. “For this situation the MD10 XL is an efficient solution” according to Herman Wehkamp.
Large products? No problem!
Another advantage of the wide vibrating lanes and the wide weighing buckets in combination with an open frame is that large products won’t cause problems anymore. “Some customers weigh products with diameters of 140 mm and more, which often cause jamming. These products can be processed perfectly with the 240 mm wide weighing buckets of the MD10 XL.” according to an enthusiastic Herman Wehkamp.
Name change for other models
With the release of the MD10 XL, a name change for other models will be implemented. The M8 XL and M10 XL will be renamed to M8 L and M10 L for a clear and consistent naming of the product portfolio. “These models have larger weighing buckets than the standard weighers, but still smaller than the MD10 XL. In a technical sense, nothing changes for these models.”
