Fruit Logistica will soon open its doors, once again attracting suppliers and trade visitors from all fresh produce branches to Berlin. Of course Bizerba will also be there, presenting hardware and software solutions for the modern fruit and vegetable trade. The focus of Bizerba's trade fair presence will be on innovative systems for labelling unpackaged and pre-packaged goods.
From global players to small and medium-sized companies - from 5th to 7th February 2020 companies from the entire fresh produce value chain will once again be gathering at the Fruit Logistica in Berlin. More than 3,200 exhibitors will offer a comprehensive overview of all innovations, products and services from all levels of trade.

This year, Bizerba will show its packaging solutions at Stand C-13 in Hall 4.1, proving it still supports manufacturers within the fruit and vegetable trade with innovative approaches to solutions in the ongoing digitalisation and automation. Bizerba can increase their efficiency and help them to meet international safety and hygiene standards. This way, Bizerba enables manufacturing companies to meet consumer demands for more quality in the area of fresh products and transparency regarding their origin as well as detailed production data.

Perfectly excellent, controlled in real time
This year, Bizerba's focus of attention will be on innovative solutions for labelling unpackaged and pre-packaged goods. One of their highlights is the modularly designed LDI 20 label dispenser, which is particularly suitable for the automatic labelling of unpackaged fruit and vegetables and which enables the processing of different package formats or package and label sizes, with a maximum of flexibility. This way, the LDI 20 ensures greater transparency for consumers and at the same time strengthens the brand positioning of fruit producers.
Another exhibit is the intelligent GLM-Ievo 100 price and product labelling system. Designed specifically for the automatic weighing and labelling of pre-packaged goods, the GLM-Ievo 100 can be optimally configured for the products and performance requirements in the fresh produce sector thanks to its modular design.
Fast, manual weighing of portions
Just as important as the hardware are the software solutions that control and monitor the hardware in the increasingly digitalised fruit trade. The software app BRAIN2 Portion_Control ensures a fast, manual weighing of portions. In combination with load sensors from Bizerba, the app detects possible underfilling or overfilling in real time, preventing follow-up costs for the fruit trader caused by the weighing process.
