The packages with the wishes of the Fellini company are very appreciated

A packaging dedicated to the holidays

To wish a merry Christmas and a happy new year with a vegetable packaging. That's the initiative of the "Fellini Patrizio" company which, for a couple of years now, has enjoyed increasing success. "When the Christmas period begins - says the manager Emile Fellini - we adopt a packaging linked to the holidays, which we keep until the Epiphany. Red and white colors and the greeting cards are the characteristic elements".

And even if the market is not particularly bright these days, it does not mean that vegetables should not be presented in the best way. As a matter of fact, a nice packaging definitely helps sales.

"2019 closes positively, for our company - says Fellini - even if there have been some lackluster moments due to the climate and the general trend of the markets. But we have grown, thanks to product innovations and process innovation".

Among the various initiatives put in place, the "Fellini Patrizio" has pushed a lot on the zero residue front. In the spring, he launched strawberries (see Freshplaza of 20/05/2019) and subsequently several vegetable references were sent to this project.

"We are drastically reducing residues - explains the manager - through harsher regulations, resistant or tolerant varieties and great attention to our producers. 95% of our vegetables is at 50% of the residues allowed by the legislation and we want to continue improving" .

Black cabbage is in great demand.

These days all seasonal vegetables are suffering because of the unusual temperatures, and production has been concentrated. "We only select the best matches - concludes Emile Fellini - in order to guarantee the highest quality to our customers".
