Rains in Spain accelerate the citrus harvest

According to sources from the Lonja de Valencia, the rains have accelerated the citrus harvest in the province. With regard to prices, they have either remained stable or increased.

In the case of oranges, increases have been recorded by the Navel Lane Late, reaching € 0.23-0.38 / kg. The Sanguinelli has also become more expensive, with between € 0.33-0.35 / kg, and the Valencia Late has reached a price of € 0.23-0.38 / kg. The other oranges record no changes, with the Salustiana sold for € 0.21-0.23 / kg and the Navelina for € 0.18-0.23 / kg.

Mandarins have also recorded barely any changes in Valencia, with the exception of the Tango and Nadorcott, whose prices have increased to 0.70-1.00 Euro per ton in both cases.

Meanwhile, in the Lonja de Córdoba, no changes in prices have been reported this week. According to these sources, there is still demand on the market, but with few operations due to the rains.

The prices of Navelina and Salustiana oranges remained unchanged. The Lane Late stood at € 0.27-0.31 / kg, while the Tango was sold for € 0.80-0.95 / kg at origin.
