Softripe Technology
In recent years, vanWylick has consistently invested in new and sustainable mature and distribution locations in Cologne and Munich. In addition, the ripening facilities in Dortmund and Dresden were completely renovated. As the Gemüsering Group has also invested considerably in the plants acquired in 2017, this fits perfectly into vanWylick's modern market presence.

The new ripening chambers in Stuttgart are equipped with Softripe technology. This means that vanWylick now has both systems in use and hopes to gain insights into the method previously favoured and internally referred to as "gentle ripening". This technology, which is used worldwide, is based on the continuous further development of the proven ripening technology with a view to quality, sustainability and digitization.

The company expects the transaction to contribute positively to its goal of becoming one of the best ripeners of bananas and other fruits. vanWylick also sees considerable market potential in the ripening of other fruits such as mangos, avocados, kiwis, etc. with its regional ripening plants that are close to the customer.
