An innovative new vending machine which is reducing waste in Australia has proven a success in Macarthur, New South Wales.
Three Juice for Good machines, which sell juice created from 'imperfect' oranges sourced from Australian farmers, have been installed in Campbelltown since September. Two machines are featured in Campbelltown Mall and a third is at Macarthur Square.
Since their arrival, the machines have proven to be within the top-selling orange juice spots in NSW, according to Juice for Good. The machines have already saved 30,000 kilograms of oranges from being wasted - close to 165,000 blemished fruits.
Profits from Juice for Good machines go to OzHarvest, which works with Lomandra School and Lomandra Community Pantry to provide food relief to local families in need. Juice for Good has just released new keep cups designed by Mulga the Artist to celebrate saving one million oranges from landfill.
