According to data from the Peruvian Association of Mango Producers and Exporters (APEM), Peru exported 5,255 tons of fresh mango between the beginning of the 2019/2020 campaign and week 47, i.e. 49% more than the 3,530 tons it exported in the same period of the previous campaign. Europe was the main market for Peruvian fresh mangoes with 2,658 tons.
It was followed by Canada, with 606 tons of fresh mangoes, the United States with 198 tons, and other markets with 1,793 tons.
In the same period of time, Peru exported 47, 577 tons of frozen mango, i.e. 63% less than the 1,562 tons it shipped in the same period of last season.
