The Spanish Guardia Civil has arrested a young man from Granada as the alleged author of the theft of 1.2 tons of Hass avocados from a farm in the town of Molvízar, of which he was a neighbor. He gained access to the plantation after breaking the fence together with two other suspects who have yet to be arrested. The thefts took place between October 29 and November 2.
On November 2, a witness saw these young people inside the farm and alerted the owner, who upon arrival only found the youngest, the one currently under investigation, who at that time managed to flee.
The victim reported the theft to the Guardia Civil of Salobreña, and the Roca team of the region managed to identify the young man and arrest him. The Guardia Civil continues to investigate the facts and hopes to arrest the other two suspects in the coming days.
