Bank in Xiamen, China helps farmers sell their apples online

The apple harvest in Yongjing is underway, but due to a lack of information, inconvenient transportation, and sales channels, huge volumes are facing slow sales. Agricultural Bank of China Xiamen Branch announced on the 25th to launch a new poverty elevation model with Xiamen Zhongda E-commerce, where 500,00 kilos of fuji apples from Yongjing will be featured on the “Helping Farmers” online store of the bank’s mobile app, attracting consumers with significantly better prices, and extending a helping hand to farmers in poverty.

With this model, the bank helps the Linxia area to build a sustainable sales channel for their produce and advances the sustainable development of the poverty alleviation business while helping local farmers to increase their income.
