"The golden Fuji apple is also known as the cream Fuji apple. This is the only apple variety that is still on the trees after Frost Descends [23 October - 6 November]. The golden Fuji requires one month longer to mature compared with the red Fuji. The harvest season begins in the middle of November. The fruit peel is thin and golden yellow. The fruit flesh is crisp and sweet. The sugar content is relatively high. This year our first supply of golden Fuji apples left the orchard on November 20th. We expect to deliver a total of 1 thousand kg." This is according to Brother Cherry, a fruit grower and trader from Yantai.

"Everybody knows that the apple production volume expanded this year because the weather conditions were excellent. Of course the actual production volume varied according to production area and product variety. However, the average price of apples is less than satisfactory. The purchase price of red Fuji apples in Yantai is currently 1 yuan [0.14 USD] per 0.5 kg lower than around this time last year. The situation in Shaanxi is even worse."
