New packaging and new varieties from Fellini Patrizio

Seasonal vegetables are finally under the spotlight

Radicchio, cabbage rosettes, chard, savoy cabbage, black cabbage: these are only a few of the main winter references whose demand has increased in the last few days, as reported by Lamberto Giovanardi, of Fellini Patrizio from Gambettola (Forlì-Cesena).

Packs of two-tone radicchio chicory

"Thanks to temperatures more aligned with the autumn season - said Giovanardi - the typical references of this season have registered a boost in sales. Prices may be higher or lower, depending on availability, but in any case there are sales. In more general terms, it's a good time for fennel, savoy cabbage, radicchio, and typical references of this period."

Radicchio cicorino

Fellini is always on the cutting edge. Sales for green and red chicory radicchio in 300-gram trays started  a few days ago. The weight is declared and the production comes from region Campania.

Rainbow Beet

"Same for the Rainbow beet, with its bright red skin and green leaves, which is obtaining a good success," added Giovanardi. The weight is guaranteed, 400 grams, and the packages have our quality label "I Freschissimi".

The latest addition are cauliflower rosettes in trays (photo below). This is a healthy mix that also easily grabs your attention because of its three colors: white, orange and purple. They come in bowls of 450 grams and production is made in region Campania.

"Lettuces are up again after there had been supply shortages. We are selling the packaged cabbage for around 90 cents. But it doesn't make much sense to declare prices, because we are constantly facing changes every day."
