On October 22nd, 2019 an article was published named “Price of Chinese lemons drops to lowest point in years” containing pictures and references to trademark “UNIFRUTTI” in connection to a Chinese Company named “My Rural Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd.”, Unifrutti would like to inform you by request of Exportadora Unifrutti Traders SpA, on its behalf and in name of all its affiliated and related companies:
“Unifrutti is the exclusive owner of the trademark UNIFRUTTI® in many jurisdictions, including China, and is not in any way affiliated nor related with 'My Rural Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd.', and has not authorized in any way its use of the UNIFRUTTI® word or logos. Moreover, Unifrutti has not either produced, packed, nor exported – and will not export – lemons, citrics or any other fruit from China during 2019. Therefore, any offer of Unifrutti branded lemons/fruit produced in China are counterfeit, hence, completely illegal. Moreover, the only Chinese company authorized to export any product with the UNIFRUTTI® brand – as well as any other of the trademarks owned by Unifrutti – from China, is Unifrutti Shanghai, thus, any other offer from any other company is illegal and will be legally pursued as such.”
