Bud Holland installs 1,600 solar panels

Recently, the team of Wattco NL and Elektravon have been working hard on the realisation of solar panels on the roof of Bud Holland.

With the installation of more than 1600 solar panels by Wattco, Bud Holland is able to generate around 25% of their annual energy consumption. The total installation took around 6 weeks to complete and the solar panels have now been put into use.

Elektravon, is the in-house installer of Bud Holland and a partner of Wattco, which also played a major role in the preliminary phase and the realisation of this project. "The role of Electravon is important if you look at the size of the electrical power supply of such a project. After all, this is not just connected to a power outlet. Electravon has realised the installation of the entire AC part, such as adjusting or expanding of the existing main distribution panel-boards, with a cable duct containing the heavy power cables, "says Bud Holland.

"Solar panels are not the only steps that Bud Holland has taken to ensure a more sustainable future. For example, we were one of the firsts in the Netherlands to use LED lighting throughout the building with air curtains in the shed. 25 years of exclusive use of electric forklift trucks in the shed and they have several electric cars in use. Bud Holland will continue this sustainable trend in the future," the company concludes.
