According to the Agrodata Peru website, between January and October 2019, Peru exported 7,818,777 kilos of fresh garlic for an FOB value of US $10,423,668. These figures show a moderate increase in the export of fresh garlic when compared to the same period of 2018 when 6,771,622 kilos were dispatched for a value of $9,094,910.
During the first months of 2019, the main destination of these shipments was Ecuador, where sales for $5,875,859 (56% of total exports) were achieved. It was followed by Mexico with $2,432,855; Brazil, with 1,162,772 dollars; the United States, with $ 464,936; Australia, with $ 202,104, and Colombia with $163,113, among others.
The main exporters of fresh garlic were Coproimpex SAC with sales for $3,407,702, Tandazo Betancourt Telmo Henry with $1,945,490, Agroexportadora Sol de Olmos SAC with $1,061,910, S&M Foods SRL with $515,714, Agroindustrial E&C SAC with $397,015, Agro-Operations Kory Songo SAC - Agrokos SAC with $357,599, and Comercial Namuche EIRL with $278,817, among others with smaller amounts.
