Last year, after a long career of more than 20 years in the fresh industry, Mr. Güner decided to found an independent LLC. Since then, he has dedicated his time to the direct import and domestic marketing of Turkish products under the name Focus Fresh. The young fruit agency based in Düsseldorf has already been able to expand its activities to Venlo and Vienna, reports the management.

Capacities in Venlo & Vienna
A rich selection of Turkish fruit products such as pomegranates, grapes, cherries and apricots, as well as vine tomatoes and chopped peppers make up the core range of Focus Fresh. Depending on the produce, the goods are purchased from various growing areas in Turkey: from Antalya to Bursa to Adana. "We see a strong demand for fresh figs as well as oranges and pomegranates and based on the current forecast, we expect to be able to deliver pomegranates until January," Güner said.
So far, the firm has been able to acquire a loyal clientele mainly on the wholesale markets: not only on the fresh markets in the Ruhr area, but also in Frankfurt and Mannheim. "Although our head office is in Düsseldorf, we also have storage and packaging capacities at Fresh Park Venlo and at the Vienna Wholesale Green Market, and we work together closely with our partner, Anon LLC, in Vienna."
Turkish pomegranates are usually available until January.
Direct delivery to food retailers
Although there already is an established a successful sales channel within the Turkish distribution and retail chains, the ambitious company is also keen to expand its marketing. "Indirectly, some of our goods are already landing at branches of well-known chain stores, but our goal is to be able to supply food retailers directly in the future as well."
