The prices there are higher than elsewhere, but are still not considered that high. The price of top-quality bananas from Guangxi and Laos is around 2.5-3.2 yuan [0.36-0.46 USD] per kg. The price of bananas from Myanmar, Yunnan, and Guangdong is around 2.2-2.5 yuan [0.31-0.36 USD] per kg. The overall market supply shows no improvement. The market remains sensitive to prices and in the near future there is little chance of major change.
The banana price in Yunnan is the most stable of them all. However, some visiting traders think that the price is too high and they are placing smaller orders. Market supply is therefore slowing down. The price of bananas is still considered strong. The price of top-quality bananas still reaches as high as 2.5 yuan [0.36 USD] per kg.
