Trade fair combo expoSE and expoDirekt - not just for the asparagus sector

"At the fair we want to focus primarily on direct marketers"

ExpoSE is becoming increasingly important among German and international players in the strawberries and asparagus industry. From cultivation technology to different varieties and packaging, all segments will come to Karlsruhe in November to get ready for the upcoming asparagus season.

The fair is not only interesting for those who are directly involved in the cultivation of strawberries or asparagus, as Norman Kilius, managing director of Kiwi Media, knows. The company is a provider of reusable shopping bags and advertising materials.

"During our visit to the fair, we want to focus primarily on direct marketers - and we are not just focusing on strawberry and asparagus producers," says Killius, who can already offer his alternative carrier bags in the range of some retailers and discounters.

The reusable bags made of the 'non-woven' polypropylene material, these bags are already in the production of pollutants, compared to the paper production, which brings a large CO2 emissions. "In addition, the bags can be used multiple times and even washed by hand, they are easy to recycle and cost only about 25 cents apiece." Thus, the reusable bag positions itself as a low-priced alternative to meshes made of polyester or cotton.

"In addition, we have our 'asparagus and strawberry bag', which is ideal for transporting 2-3 grape skins with its large bottom surface." These bags are also made from a non-woven material and you can find them now in many places in the supermarket.

"These bags are very well received - our customers' first orders quickly went out, but of course it's a bit slower now, with most customers already having one or a few more of these bags at home and reusing them," says Killius.

Kilius and his team expect a lot from the ExpoSE: "The fair has been recommended to us by different customers, so we are very excited about it and decided to focus more on the smaller fairs in the O & G sector, as Fruit Logistica Although successful, but the circumstances were less favorable, such a large fair can quickly bring more stress than necessary, so we decided not to participate, at least for 2020. "
