"Fuji apples enter Chinese market in large volumes as prices fall"

"The apple production season officially began in July this year. The first apple of the season was the early-season Gala apple. Now, the production season of Gala apples is already over. Imperial Crown and Fuji apples have taken over. The production seasons of these two varieties began in September and October respectively." This is according to Nancy of Sanmenxia Hong Fong Fruits and Vegetables Co., Ltd.

Fresh Fuji apples

"Looking back at the production season of Gala apples we can conclude that the overall production volume this year was much larger than last year. The overall product quality was quite good. This is mainly due to stable weather conditions. The Gala apple is an early season variety and the supply volume is relatively small. The price of Gala apples at the start of the apple season was quite satisfying for apple traders. Later in the season, however, Fuji apples from Shandong entered the market in large volumes and the price dropped."

"Our apple orchards are located in Henan, Shanxi, and Shaanxi. The production volumes of all our apple varieties increased this year. We mainly export our apples to Southeast Asia. The export price was relatively high in July and August, but the current export price is quite low. However, overseas demand is strong."

Fresh Fuji apples

"We do not currently focus on direct trade, but our apples are available for order on the e-commerce platform AliBaba. We ship our apples in refrigerated shipping containers to guarantee their freshness. Shipping takes about 7 days to the Philippines and 27 days to Bangladesh."
