2019 new season Chinese pears enjoy smooth shipments

The harvest and shipments of fresh pears at Qingdao O'Natur Bio-Tech Co., Ltd. have been going well since the 9th Wanrunfeng New Season Opening Festival took place on September 12. This year's production is good compared with last year. Early varieties became available in September, and late varieties have just started to flood into the market. “Compared with previous years, this season started a bit later, around September 12th. Last year, due to extreme weather, the production was reduced by about 40%, leading to higher prices and short supply,” Mr. Li of Qingdao O'Natur Bio-Tech Co., Ltd. commented.

“This year’s weather has been favorable, and the production and varieties are better than last year. Thanks to refined management, our pears have been managed by the bagging technique, making them better in size and quality compared with other growing centers. Especially, the snow white pears that we cultivate ourselves enjoy high consumer recognition after 7 years of careful management in the market and have pretty much all been pre-ordered before the arrival of the purchase season. This year's high-quality fresh pears have been put into cold storage for fresh keeping, and we expect prices to rise in a later period.”

Mr. Li's pears are sold to fruit boutiques and wholesale markets in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Hong Kong, mainly through offline sales channels. “Our growing center spans 5,000 mu, where high-quality fruits such as pears, peaches, and grapes are grown. We hired experts from Japan to guide our growing process all year round and use best practices to produce good-quality and tasty fruit.”
