UGPBAN - Fruits du Monde – Fruidor - BUFL

A banana without pesticide residues and a brand dedicated to high-end products

Fruit Attraction 2019 will be the opportunity for the group UGPBAN - Fruits du Monde - Fruidor - BUFL to present several new developments. UGPBAN will present the banana “zero pesticide residue” and its new logo. Fruidor Terroirs-BUFL will present the brand “Prestige du Potager”, created in early 2019.

The “zero-residue” banana
The “zero pesticide residue” Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique will be on the market by the end of the month. Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique is a member of the Nouveaux Champs collective. The good practices for obtaining a “zero pesticide residue” banana are fallowing and crop rotation to fertilize and regenerate the soils, trapping black banana weevils, and post-harvest biocontrol treatment. Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique “without synthetic pesticides” is produced without herbicides, insecticides or fungicides.

Terroirs news
In early 2019, Fruidor Terroirs - BUFL created the brand “Prestige du Potager” targeting restaurants and high-end wholesalers. The Gironde asparagus and Hauts-de-France dandelions were the first products to benefit from it. The brand “Les Nouveaux Producteurs” continues to grow and welcomed a brand-new reference: green beans. Today, the brand represents about 15 references.

Animation at the booth
Frédéric Jaunault – Best French Grocer 2011 and official ambassador of Banana of Guadeloupe & Martinique - will cook at the booth, on October 22nd and 23rd, some original recipes with fruits and vegetables of the group (Hall 4 Stand 4C01).

The group UGPBAN - Fruits du Monde - Fruidor - BUFL currently brings together 800 producers (600 from the banana sector and 200 from Fruidor Terroirs and BUFL). The group has 19 sites in France and Belgium.
