In order to cope with all logistical demands on a daily basis, the Venlo transshipment center is increasingly being used by producer organizations.
"We unload goods from all over the world every day and make sure that the goods will arrive punctually and exactly at the different delivery points in Germany and Scandinavia", says Leon van den Hombergh from Frankort & Koning BV.
"Our state-of-the-art warehouse with all the right warehouse technology enables us to optimally store and distribute various products. Our logistics department already handles the business for all lots. "
It is only a matter of time before buyers will ask the supplier to bundle all their supplies, not just for environmental purposes, Hombergh said. "Also, because of traffic related issues - it is becoming much more difficult to manage everything just-in-time."
