The Regal’in™ brand keeps developing

For the sixth year running, Regal’in Europe is taking part in Fruit Attraction Madrid, an opportunity to meet all its international customers. Indeed, while the brand is mainly marketed in France, it is also exported to Asia and Dubai, the preservation of the fruits allowing them to arrive intact on these distant stalls.

The brand offers round peaches and nectarines as well as flat peaches for marketing under the Regal'in™ brand concept. There are currently several references: bulk 5kg, a 1.9kg pitufo consumer unit and a 600 g flowpack. Depending on the customer’s needs, it is possible to develop specific packaging.

These fruits are characterized by a semi-sweet flavor: that is, the right balance between sugar and acidity. In addition, the fruits have a long shelf life to reduce shelf breakage. With Regal'in™ production in the Southern Hemisphere in the off-season, the brand is able to provide year-round fruit. Once again this year, Regal'in™ flat peaches have been recognized as Flavor of the Year 2020.

Commercial development of White Nectarines
In addition to the integration of the Aragonese company Frutaria into the capital of Agro Selections Fruits and Regal'in Europe, 2019 was mainly marked by the launch of a new range of 12 varieties of flat white nectarines covering the entire season. They have the characteristics of the Maison Maillard: semi-sweet flavor, aromatic and crunchy fruits, completely closed pistillary cavity and a complete coloration.

In 2018, the Nectarine Blanche Plate Association was created in France, bringing together 6 important players in the sector, with the objective of planting 300 ha of the range by 2023. More than 100 ha have been planted to date. This same development took place in Spain where 4 recognized structures also showed their willingness to regroup and organize the production of white nectarines flat in compliance with the agreements already signed: Albice Fruits, Cincagroup, Frutaria as well as Haciendas Bio (organic farming). The goal is to plant 900 ha by 2024, including 150 ha in organic farming.
