The largest trade show for fresh produce in North America is coming up and provides many companies an opportunity to present their latest products. The team at Mucci Farms has been busy with innovations and show attendees will be able to see them firsthand in the New Product Showcase or in the company’s booth.
“In line with the hot topic of sustainability, we are continuing the push of our new Simple Snack series, which is a lineup of eco-friendly packaging to add to our comprehensive sustainability program,” says Fernanda Albuquerque, New Product Development Manager. “The packages are recyclable and home compostable with lidding film made from 100% backyard compostable materials. To take it a step further, the pack is made from agricultural waste which reinforces our commitment to environmental safety and social responsibility.”
The sustainable packaging series was launched earlier this year and has undergone some branding changes. “We’ve kept the framework in place, but wanted to give the branding a more earthy and natural feel,” says Emily Murracas, Director of Marketing. “We also streamlined the information on the tray to illustrate the compost cycle and how to sustainably dispose of the package after use.” The lineup of packages will be on display in the New Product Showcase and you can also get a free sample at the show entrance where the Mucci Team will be showing off their featured items. A promotional video for Simple Snack is on the company’s website.
CuteCumber Poppers on-the-go
Another product submitted for the New Product Showcase are Mucci Farms’ award-winning CuteCumber Poppers for the on-the-go category. The snack-sized cucumber product was introduced to the market last year and meets consumer demand for a healthy and convenient snacking product. “Consumer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and the item has gained significant traction, so we’ve expanded its offering to include a 1 pound, 9 ounce and snack-sized 4 ounce format,” explained Murracas. The company’s Natural Organics lineup will also be on display in the Organic category with new sustainable packaging options.
Mucci Farms is the annual sponsor of the Center for Growing Talent 5k race and will be providing fruit and veggie inspired refreshments to all participants featuring two award-winning products: SmucciesTM Sweet Strawberries and CuteCumber Poppers.
The Mucci Farms team is eager to experience Fresh Summit on the west coast for the first time in many years. “We are expecting a great turnout as always, and in addition to what promises to be a great show, our team is excited about the numerous information sessions and events that include some famous and compelling speakers,” Murracas said. At booth #837, a spirited and engaging team will be available to talk about why retailers should partner with Mucci Farms. “As usual, we’ll have a pair of talented chefs on hand who will be serving a variety of creative dishes made with some of our signature items.”
