Fennel production is about to peak - harvesting in Romagna has started and Finò specialists are pleased with their produce.
"Quality is excellent also thanks to the professionalism of our producers who follow protocols closely. Grades are large and fennel is aromatic and crunchy. We could not ask for more," explains Vittorio Caligari.

"Yields are good and we are pleased with quality as well. We follow the protocol, which envisages specific agronomic techniques for fennel so as to obtain produce that is crunchy and good to eat," adds Davide Montemaggi, from a company part of the Finò network.
The fennel being harvested now was transplanted in August. The cycle lasts 50-60 days depending on the season. The weather was favorable in the past two months, which facilitated the job of producers.

Caligari&Babbi sells its produce on the domestic market as well as to foreign countries such as France, Belgium and the Netherlands. Exports will grow over the next few weeks and will exceed 50% of the total.
