Ecogreen Asparagus - a complete range of harvesters

At the International Asparagus Days (IAD) to be held in Angers on 29th and 30th October, Ecogreen Italia will present its entire range of electrical machines to harvest green and white asparagus.

"Ecogreen Asparagus machines are entirely manufactured in Italy with innovative technologies that save energy and improve productivity during harvesting," explains company owner Leonardo Zanarini (in the photo below at IAD 2018).

The range includes:

  • Ecogreen Asparagus AV1, a semi-moving machine to harvest green asparagus with front-wheel drive and electrical steering;
  • Ecogreen Asparagus AV2, a semi-moving machine to harvest green asparagus equipped with rear-wheel drive and mechanical steering;
  • Ecogreen Asparagus AB1, a semi-moving machine to harvest white asparagus equipped with film lifting rollers with rear-wheel drive and electrical steering.

"All harvesters are equipped with 2 powerful electrical engines and 4 slow-discharge 260 Ah batteries that guarantee a 16-hour autonomy. This year, it will be possible to see our machines at work at the Langevine company owned by Mr Poupard."

The French company was an exhibitor during all previous editions where it attracted the interest of great asparagus producers on a global level.

"Asparagus production is undergoing a modernization process and requires equipment that is not only state-of-the-art but that also respects the environment and the health of workers."

"Ecogreen Asparagus machines head in this direction because they significantly reduce labor costs (machines harvest double the quantity of traditional machines in the same time), increase productivity, improve product quality, reduce physical efforts and zero polluting emissions."

Ecogreen has great expectations when it comes to this year's edition and believes the organization by Christian Befve and his staff will not disappoint.
