Today, Frank Döscher celebrates his 25th anniversary as managing director of the Elbe-fruit distribution company. The distribution company itself was officially founded 25 years ago. The man at the helm of the northern German company spoke about his challenges and goals with FreshPlaza.de.

The Elbe-fruit sales company was able to establish itself as a high-performance pome fruit s
upplier to the German food retail trade. In addition, export markets were able to supply interesting and promising markets, says Döscher. "For me it has always been important in the 25 years to implement the best possible opportunities for our producers and marketers in a very close dialogue with our customers in a joint win-win strategy."
Currently, the distribution company is moving in a very fast-paced and international pome fruit market. The highest flexibility, creativity and reliability are required of all participants, says Döscher. "We need to constantly set new requirements for crop protection, labor law, traceability and quality requirements to succeed in the marketplace."
Despite the difficulties and challenges in the international market environment, the long-standing businessman always looks ahead. All in all, he sees a positive outlook for the future: "We are currently producing some promising new varieties and hope to successfully place them with our customers over the next few years."
